We are proud to presen0.t the first ever TSH Groningen Chess Open!
After having introduced the students of Groningen to the game of chess, we wanted to organize a big rapid tournament to connect the new community to all other chess players in the region.
When: Sunday October 28th 2018. 12:00-18:00
Where: The Student Hotel Groningen (Boterdiep 9)

Format:
7 rounds of rapid chess (Time control: 15 min/person/game).
With enough participants, we will play in one big open group, prizes will be given in seperate rating groups.
Prize fund:
Will increase linearly per participant. 50% of all inscriptions will be returned directly as prize money. Hence, 40 participants already give a prize fund of EUR 200!
Example of prize distribution with EUR 200:
Group A (club/tournament players): 1st/2nd/3rd 50/30/20
Group B (new players): 1st/2nd/3rd: 50/30/20
